One of Ox Hill's Values is Mission Mindedness and as such OHBC actively seeks opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community and around the world. Here are just a few highlights of our mission activities.
Mission Projects
Food Distribution
Working with the Western Fairfax Christian Ministry (WFCM), Ox Hill has helped distribute over 48,000 meals to community families. OHBC has since partnered with WFCM and Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington to host their Free Food Fridge.
Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together is a national nonprofit with a network of nearly 225 affiliates across the United States. Our mission is to preserve affordable housing by bringing volunteers and communities together to rehabilitate the homes of low-income homeowners. Ox Hill Baptist generally participates in one rebuilding project a year. This year we were able to raise over $1000 during our annual VBS offering to donate to Rebuilding Together.
Red Cross
Blood supplies in the Metro DC area are always in need.Ox Hill Baptist holds two blood drives annually to replenish local blood supplies of the Red Cross.
